Families in Support of Treatment (F.I.S.T) is a non-profit corporation created to help families who have loved ones that are struggling with the disease of addiction. Addiction causes devastation to individuals as well at their families. Often family members don’t know where to turn for help. Help is available and F.I.S.T was developed to help family members find and access help for themselves and their loved ones.
F.I.S.T’s Board of Directors and Advisory Committee are comprised of volunteers representing a diverse cross-section of New Yorkers including but not limited to the following: families impacted by the disease of addiction; individuals personally impacted by addiction; treatment providers; prevention specialists; small business owners and corporate executives; nonprofit professionals; law enforcement personnel; clergy and those representing faith-based organizations; educators; youth-serving professionals, members of academia; and community/civic leaders.
